Hybrid Power Systems
Hybrid systems are usually a combination of solar photovoltaics with wind turbines and/or generators running on diesel or biofuels. Power generated by the solar PV array during the day is stored in the battery bank through an energy manager, which controls the complete system.

Annex Power’s hybrid systems
The hybrid systems we install make optimal use of sunlight and wind speeds - the two main resources readily available in the Indochina region. When the solar resource is low during the monsoon, the wind is quite strong and vice versa. Hybrid systems thus offer an optimal solution at a substantially lower cost.
Annex Power is equipped to offer reliable off-grid and hybrid solutions for all energy needs for telecom connectivity, especially rural connectivity, where powering critical loads are often a challenge. Diesel generators are expensive to run, and may also require frequent maintenance support. A judicious mix of solar and other renewable technologies, coupled with a diesel generator/grid, can offer a commercially viable solution that will power the backbone of rural connectivity.

Annex Wind designs and installs turn-key hybrid systems, based on your specific needs. The Annex Power team relies on years of hybrid project experiences and installations in the Indochina region ranging from telecommunication to rural mini-grid power systems. Each system is custom designed and installed by our own team of installers.

How does it work?
The Annex wind generator starts generating power when wind reaches the 2.5 cut-in speed and the output is stored in the battery bank or directly used by the loads. This energy is drawn by the electrical loads through the inverter, which converts DC power into AC power. The inverter has in-built protection against short-circuiting, overheating, low battery voltage and overload. The battery bank is designed to feed the loads up to a certain number of days with no sun or wind, depending upon the system requirement.
