Standard off-grid systems consist of 5 main components:
Solar Panels
Solar panels are also referred to as PV (photovoltaic) panels or modules. Our systems always integrate high quality PV modules from world leading manufacturers. We utilize only high quality polycrystalline, monocrystalline or thinfilm a-Si PV modules with IEC 61215 certification for our off-grid systems. Charge Controller
This part is the “brain” of any off-grid system, which monitors and manages the electricity between the PV panels and batteries.
Batteries
Also called a “battery bank,” this group of batteries is connected to a combined battery system to store the DC electricity generated during the day by the PV modules.
Inverters
An inverter accepts solar-battery DC power on one side and then emits AC power, which is necessary to run most home appliances.
Mounting Systems
Metal support structures, which secure an array of solar panels in a tilted position facing the sun on given surface areas like a roof-top or on the ground. Solar power plants may also use “tracker systems” which track the sun during the day to increase the overall output efficiency of solar modules.
